In 2023, Hong Kong Ocean Park undertook a significant venue renovation, upgrading the original Goldfish Pavilion to the ‘ Dive Into Local Diversity.‘ exhibit. The expanded exhibition content now features a diverse range of native species, including frogs, turtles, and reptiles.

Client Requirements: To accurately convey the vitality and theme of the new exhibit, Ocean Park stipulated that the new outdoor signage must incorporate the following design features:

• Sense of Motion/Dynamism: To capture the active atmosphere of a local stream ecosystem.
• Rich Three-Dimensionality (3D): To provide an immersive visual experience.
• Cohesion in Colour and Style: The colour palette must strictly align with the natural ecological theme of the exhibit.

Our Solution and Results: We specially custom-designed and fabricated this set of exquisite entrance signs for the project (as shown in the image). Through high-precision sculpting and realistic painting techniques, we successfully achieved the following:

• Vivid models of native frogs, turtles, and aquatic reptiles.
• The use of streamlined blue resin (or fibreglass) material, perfectly simulating flowing water, injecting a strong sense of dynamism into the static sign.
• The rich layering and three-dimensional shape not only met the client’s strict requirements but also became a striking facade that invites visitors to ‘Dive Into Local Diversity.’
