CASE STUDIES
Statue Restoration and Revitalization Project for St. Francis Xavier's College
We were deeply honoured to execute the renovation and restoration project for the long-standing statues on the campus of St. Francis Xavier’s College. These statues carry the school’s cultural and spiritual heritage spanning many years.
- Restoration Philosophy: In the initial stage of restoration, our team engaged in thorough discussions on how to subtly utilize variations in light and shadow to breathe new life into the statues, all while diligently preserving their original historical characteristics. This approach respects not only the artwork itself but also the continuation of its historical significance.
- Craftsmanship and Protection: To ensure the restoration is long-lasting and remains fresh over time, we selected a high-quality, anti-UV protective varnish for the surface treatment. This layer of protection not only effectively guards against environmental erosion but also locks in the colour, allowing the statues to maintain their solemn dignity for years to come.
